Central Station's float won first prize in the Rose Festival Grande Parade Sunday for best illustrating the theme of the parade: "Roses & Poppies" - celebrating various anniversaries including the 60th anniversary of the Parade, the 100th anniversary of the Poppy as a symbol of courage and freedom along with honouring our World War II Veterans and the First Responders that sacrificed so much for us during the global pandemic.
